Lucas Sanchez has experience in providing clinical care in emergency, inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment settings. He has worked in the field of mental health for many years, gathering experience in clinical practice, administration & leadership, academia, and research. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of New Mexico, Masters in Social Work from New Mexico State University, and Doctorate in Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lucas remains active in direct clinical practice and is an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University. He is passionate about bridging the gap between direct care and research/academia. Lucas thoroughly enjoys working with a wide-range of mental health conditions in adolescents and adults. He utilizes different therapeutic theories/modalities to address client’s unique concerns.
Lucas was born and raised in New Mexico and continues to enjoy exploring unseen parts of the state. He enjoys spending time outside, hanging out with his family & pup, and training for strength sports/competition.
