Sterling Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been working in the field of mental health since 2008. He received his Bachelors in Psychology from Brigham Young University and his Masters in Social Work from New Mexico State University where he is currently an Adjunct Professor. In 2018 he completed his Doctorate of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University. With extensive history of work in inpatient psychiatry and outpatient counseling, Sterling finds great enjoyment in working with the entire spectrum of mental illness. While he has worked with a variety of ages and populations, he primarily works with young adults, adults, and couples. Sterling is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese and works with the New Mexico Asian Family Center providing mental health services to the Asian population in Albuquerque. His preferred treatment modalities in therapy include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Sterling has lived in New Mexico for most of his life and enjoys walking and riding his bike in the various beautiful areas Albuquerque has to offer. He and his wife have 4 children who keep them busy at home where he also enjoys 3D printing, reading, and watching movies with the family.
