Lucas Sanchez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked in Behavioral Health for over 10 years. Beginning in neuroscience research, Lucas has 7 years of experience in clinical treatment research focusing on mental illness and addictions. Lucas has worked in both inpatient and outpatient treatment environments treating adolescent, adult, and older adult populations. Lucas specializes in work with adolescents and adults, treating a wide array of conditions from adjustment reaction(s) to severe and chronic mental illness. Lucas practices with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and Existential Therapy. Lucas received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico and Masters from New Mexico State University where he is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Social Work. Lucas is a doctoral candidate at Tulane University.
Lucas is a native New Mexican who enjoys exploring the alluring sights that our state has to offer. He competes in strength sports and enjoys being outdoors. When not working or training, Lucas is watching movies and hanging out with family, friends, and his dogs.
